Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon is a 1963 Nasir Hussain production and became a super hit at the box office.
As expected of a Nasir Hussain film – the story revolves around a lost and found saga blended with beautiful music, romance and comedy and action towards the end.

This was Nasir Hussain’s second film after he turned producer-director by setting up his own production house – Nasir Hussain Films. The first one was Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai (1961).
Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon starred the son of Nasir’s mentor Sashadhar Mukherjee’s – Joy Mukherjee.Other Nasir Hussain regulars in this film were Asah Parekh, Rajendranath, Pran, Wasti, Tabassum and RamAvatar.

It is a typical Nasir Hussain entertainer and neither do you have to think much about things happening by coincidence and nor should you indulge in any logical analysis. You just have to enjoy the songs , the script , the dialogues and the comic situations. Joy Mukherjee and Asha Parekh have both given a good performance.Rajendra Nath , Ram Avatar , Indra Bansal are good in the comic acts. One particular comic scene where Ram Avatar flirts with Indra Bansal has been executed very well.

However what made the film a super hit was the music by O P Nayyar and included some beautiful Rafi Saheb solos like “Laakhon Hain Nigahon Mein”, “Banda Parwar Thaam Lo Jigar” and “Aanchal Mein Saja Lena”.

Other hit songs included “Dekho Bijli Dole Bin Badal Ke” , “Aji Kibla Mohtarma” , “Aankhon Se Jo Utri Hai ” , “Mujhe pyar mein”and “Zulf Ki Chaon Mein”.
